Gary Mayerson, J.D.Gary Mayerson, J.D., is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He has testified before Congress on the subject of the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) and is well-published in the field. His new book for parents and professionals, “Autism’s Declaration of Independence, Navigating Autism in the Age of Uncertainty,” was just released and features information on how to advocate for your child at school, and much more.
