In this recorded webinar, Dr. Wendy Chung discusses what SPARK Research Match is and how it works. She highlights current and past Research Match studies on a variety of topics related to autism including COVID-19, co-occurring conditions, issues in adults, and camouflaging in teens.

SPARK Research Match is a service that matches members of the SPARK community to autism research studies. It provides the opportunity to participate in studies led by leading autism researchers from around the world. Participants get the chance to be represented in research and ensure that research findings apply to them. Together, we can all learn more about autism.

Who is Wendy Chung?

Wendy Chung serves as the principal investigator of SPARK. As principal investigator of SPARK, she leads the effort to build a community of individuals with autism and their families, working with them to better understand the causes of autism and to develop better means of supporting individuals and improving lives. A clinical and molecular geneticist, Chung received a B.A. in biochemistry and economics from Cornell University, an M.D. from Cornell University Medical College, and a Ph.D. in genetics from Rockefeller University. She is the Director of clinical research at SFARI and the Kennedy Family Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at Columbia University.
